I forgot about Stronghold he might played it.
But you still don't understand, the longsword is just the multi-tool of the middle ages. Push the button (pommel) and get another function, then destroy the castle of your joice.

An obscure austrian source cites the lonsword originally designed as a toe-nail clipper and multi-purpose shrubbery trimmer. The austrians apparently adopted it as such after finding the claymore "much to unwieldy" to trim dead follicles. Its uses as a siege weapon and stoneworkers tool came only after an accidental nail-trimming mishap that resulted in the accidental creation of another entrance in an originally smooth wall. So remember kids, never point your nail-trimming, wall-vaulting, stone-destroying pieces of metal at anything you don't like...

I prefer the ancient method of spinning the longsword rapidly above your head to fly, but, you know, that's just me. ;D Then again, it makes a great ladder too! You, know, like the old ninja method of sticking the blade in the ground and using the guard as a step? They stole that idea from the knights! ;D -Slayer

Indeed, the longsword is probably the best for nocking down stone walls but a nice sharp battle axe works almost just as well and here's a movie to prove it. Check it out at 9:20 ;D

Ahh yes we cannot forget william wallace's epic use of the claymore at the battle of stirling: round 2, where he beat his claymore so mightily against the walls of a nearby castle that it generated a 10.5 earthquake and killed all the snakes in ireland.

See, the longsword can actually do ALL those things. Because, near the end of fall of the Roman Empire, Chuck Norris used his beard to travel back in time and taught Europians how to make and use the longswords to such wonderful effect!
Unfortunately, only the Vikings came close to the true mastery since they had the best beards.
