I would rather go for a Fable Blade, or something from John Lundemo personally, even if it is worth it.

Yeeeaaahhhh ......... doesnt look like its worth that ........ sorry ...... just doesnt ......... its sort of late in the game for Windlass to be trying their hand at the "rich bastards and burnable bullion" market ........ And I would by from Brenno or John just to support the locals (SBG Locals as it were) ..........
And really for that money from a production company I would go Japanese Tamagame (coke spelling) ....... and I'm a Western sword fan

yeah, I'd go with a few FB's myself. I was just pointing out that it is theoretically possible that it's worth it. BTW, Brissybeater, it's 'tamahagane.' -Slayer

If they really were trying to reproduce a sword that David, king of the Israelites would have used, maybe they should have considered bronze? I wonder if anyone will buy this. --Edward

I agree with ecovolo. King David's sword should have been made in bronze; although the Philistines already worked with iron by that point, and since David beheaded Goliath with his own sword, MAYBE it was made of iron. But we cannot give a specific verdict.............

Pssht! 2500 USD, I could get something far more accurate made in oz for less than that but is truer to the sword of david.

I think 2,500 is a load of bull. Windlass is out of their class. They should stick to what they know and try to improve on that so the freaken hilts don't rattle off.

Windlass has never before produced anything I'd consider paying more than $200 for and I've had and handled a fair number of their products, still own a piece or two. Having said that and NOT seen either of these swords (damned site's blocked!!!) they'd have to come with some serious offerings and even then, knowing MRL is NOT a premier bladesmithy or procurer of high quality arms and armor, I would be VERY hesitant to make a purchase of that magnitude with them. There are other, more established smiths who I would go to first.
