I am an economy buyer of swords and I recently noticed that the Strongblade "Dark Recourse" sword is very cheap, even in the fully tempered version. For its length, however, it seems rather heavy (3 lbs for a 30 inch sword).
Does anyone have any experience with this sword, and can offer advice on whether or not it is worth purchasing, even at an insanely low price?

I don't have any first-hand experience with Strongblade, but from what I've heard, they're pretty decent for the money. Great CS too...
The Dark Recourse happens to be my favorite of their blades, so I'd be very interested in a review if you DO get it.

I don't own this particular model, but I do have their crusader. I exchanged emails with their C.S.(Roberto was great to deal with and very informative) One of the biggest reasons for the weight is the lack of a distal taper and deep fullers. But the value for money is really starting to push boundries.
