Pssssssst.... that was a joke! ;D Har har! Funny man =p. With Ramm...I'd just had enough. Hypocrisy is something that just majorly gets under my skin (even if I'm occasionally guilty as well...we all are at some point in our lives I'm sure). This situation is different of course, but as these threads by Sal were made in a public forum, in two separate forum areas that invite commentary, I felt justified in stating my opinion even though I of course wasn't asked =D. I'm certainly not the 'internet police' but I've no qualms about popping up and saying when I think something is silly or should have been expected due to the fact thaty it is the internet. Cris

I'm just hackin on ya... no worries. I thought Ramm's reaction was extreme to say the least... and I feel the same about Sal's... although with Ramm at least I understood the whole thing. Here with Sal, there are peices missing but it boils down to the same thing: He got his feathers ruffled on the iNtErWeBz... took it WAY to hard, and then wrote a emo love letter to say goodbye and deleted his account. He could have just left... Adam style. The whole making a big scene and then deleting your account, just pointless drama in my view.

Not going to lie, the very little I saw of Sal, he seemed too easily annoyed for his own good.

I have no idea what this thread is about but I wish Sal could stay because he contributed greatly to this forum . The katana terminology that he posted was a great help for me to learn and identify all this part of katana .

I too hope Sal returns along with Rammy and others who have left for whatever reasons. I've had my drama moments and understand how emotion can lead me to make decisions I later second guess and at times my distorted sense of pride has kept me from correcting these mistakes to my detriment. What I learn from this is the Internet and life in general is not easy on my thin skin, even on the "friendly" forums. With this in mind all I can do is endeavor to treat people in a respectful manner.

I don't like seeing Salvatore go, like many said, he was here for a long time and contributed to this forum. Its not cool seeing one of our ''seniors'' go (seniors ; people with lots of experience and time spent on this forum).
It is sad that he felt wounded to the point that he needed to vent it out on two threads to send some kind of message. Personnaly I am divided by this kind of behavior, on one hand I don't like drama and soap-opera ; I don't like this kind of public mudslinging. On the other hand, it saddens me to see someone feeling rejected/unloved/etc, even if that feeling may be due to his own perception.
On a side-note, I have trouble finding Rammstein's ''goodbye'' thread, anyone knows where it is ... ?

I hope Sal comes back too...
And honestly, i don't see people leaving a "goodbye message" when they go as a bad thing.
I know how frustrating it can be sometimes when it seems like every time you contribute, you have somebody coming along and shredding your posts. By "shredding" i mean: Doing anything possible do discredit you, and try to make you look like a fool. This gets especially frustrating when all you try to do is voice your opinion, and someone comes along and not only tells you your wrong, but makes it feel like you don't deserve to have an opinion... Now i'm not referring to anyone specifically, i'm just saying...
I too was done with this place once. I had reached a point where i felt like there was a huge target on the back of my head. It felt like everywhere i posted i was being shadowed by people who were waiting to disagree with me, even in situations where they had expressed the exact same sentiments that you had just contributed. In cases like that, it becomes obvious after awhile that you are not liked, and then it becomes harder to contribute anything when your always "waiting for the other shoe to drop".
I never started a "goodbye thread", i simply posted (in direct response to the post that "broke the camels back") that "i'm done with this place, its become nothing but a shooting gallery here."
Ironically, it was Ramm (who contributed to my grief) who started the thread stating that i was gone. But i didn't cancel my account right away. Honestly, i didn't even know i could delete my account or i probably would have. But due to that thread a few people messaged me through email, and i realized there were enough good people here, that putting up with a few jerks was worth it. Even if they were on my butt 24/7...
Eventually Ramm and i became friends, and if it wasn't for that thread i may have stayed gone. So there's that aspect, there's also a little bit of consideration for friends who may want to contact you through email to leave your address. Not to mention sparing everyone from wondering "where did so & so go?" for months and months. However, i think when people leave & come back multiple times it could be a situation where they want someone to "talk them down" like a cry for attention. Either way, what's wrong with that if it was? Some people need help and don't know how to ask for it....
Sometimes we don't realize how much we appreciate someones presence, until they are absent.

I did the "I'm done with the SBG" thing as well a while ago. The only reason I left a goodbye was in case any of my friends here wanted to contact me, funnily enough it was the person I least expected who actually got me to come back and I am glad I did.
