Yes, yet another DSA acquisition from me I would like to know how the Guardian sword from Darksword handles, so if you have this sword, I would appreciate some pics and some perspective And yes, kingrat, I know your rolling your eyes at me right now, but I like DSA, so thanks in advance! I don't own a Guardian yet but I am seriously considering it. I recommend the Green Guardian from AOV/DBK. The green high-end grip, IMHO, looks great and will feel and function much better than the stock one. Jason Woodard has said so as well and the green grip also matches his vision of the sword. Nice sword!

Nice sword! I had thought about it, but at this point I am almost completely dedicated to Paul, Plus, I am going to ask for them to put brown leather on it, and I think it will look very nice. Then, I considered asking Brian to put a brown fancy wrap on it, but I personally don't think it's worth an extra $50 (a months savings for me). But, if you get yours before I do (I'll get mine in early May), I would appreciate a mini review, and some pics of the grip

It's pictured on the AOV site under AOV customs as you probably have seen. You might be able to get it through Paul.......would have to ask him.......just a thought. I have handled swords before and after the grip upgrade and it is a big difference.

I have handled swords before and after the grip upgrade and it is a big difference. He can order it threw Paul at the SBG store... but it's not in stock. However it's production is SOON as I recall... Looks like there are none in stock at AoV right now anyway, so it's the same wait time either way. The grip *IS* worth it, if you can afford it. I've handled three swords now with Brian's custom grips, and all were much better then their stock counterparts. It's not just looks... which they do look much better... the feel in hand is drasticly better. Your hand is where your body meet your blade... and that transition point is VERY important. I can not stress that enough. Brian seems to have a great instinct for what will feel right for a given sword.

The guardian is probably my favorite of all of DSA's blades. And I like the redone version on AoV/DBK even better.

Any ETA on these returning to inventory? They've been sold out for 6 months everywhere that I have checked. I been eyeing one to bust cinderblocks in my front yard with.

OK, here I go flip flopping again, but I'm going to stick to my ORIGINAL plan, and get the standard guardian, but with brown leather put on by DSA. THEN if I have a bunch of money once I get a job, I shall send it to brain and have him fancy it up for me

Cannot wait to see it man. Funny enough, March is when I will have a bunch of money, so we can do reviews at the same time.

Yah March! I won't have a bunch of money in March... unless I win the lottery, or sell a whole bunch of stuff... or something.

The second option is my method of gaining money. I am buying a cheap sword for now, but you may have money in March as well...

Nope. I will reveal the "surprise" (As if anyone is anxiously awaiting it ) when I am done customizing it. I hope to be done before I purchase my "good" sword. I may have already given it away, but no. It is not exactly my original plan...

K, Seth, you do yours in March, and post LOTS of pics for me My mom put me on a Sword Buying Ban until my birthday (May 5th), which is OK, since that's about when I'll get the money. Like I said in my last post, I shall get the ordinary guardian, but with brown leather grip and scabbard. That way I can order through Paul, AND, get the free shipping And, if I come into some Money later in life (like when I get a job) I can send my guardian to Brian, and have him blue the guard and pommel, and put on the grip Problem solved.
