Hi guys, I got this sword, an ATrim type XIII with some customization by Christian Fletcher and i'm looking to get a matching dagger. I was wondering if any of you add any suggestion. I'm not looking to spend a ton of money for it, just something nice to complement the sword for when i'll be ready for the custom scabbard and belt. there's also the pics on CF's web site that are way better than mine here : www.christianfletcher.com/Christian_Fletcher/Custom_Work/Pages/Ego_Memor.htmlThanks !

That's a really nice looking sword enkidu. The DSA daggers that Poo suggested all look pretty nice, though the guards don't match your sword. A wide blade dagger, like a Swiss dagger, would compliment the sword nicely. You could always get a $15 windlass Arkansas toothpick blade and then have fittings made to match your sword.

I took a look at the DSA daggers and personnaly i like the knight better, but as brotherbanzai put it the blade isnt really that large ( i have a DSA norman at home, i believe its the exact same blade ) and surely one of the caracteristics of this ATrim is the wide blade. I've taken a look at the windlass arkansas, not bad, but surely in need of better fittings. And the swiss dagger isnt the model used by the WWII german officers ? Was that model around a couple of centuries ago ? Its surely has an interesting shape.
thanks guys for the suggestions !

Windlass used to sell just the bare blades, that's what I was suggesting but maybe they don't carry them anymore. Nice blade for $15. I think the design of the Swiss dagger has been around since the 13th century. The longer version is the baselard (or basilard). Yep, a gorgeous design forever tainted by the friggin nazis.
