That is funny, because whenever a person makes a post I always imagine their avatar saying it... ;D LOL, wonder what you picture with me? Nevermind...considering the semi wrong undertones of this thread...I don't think I want to know. Cris HOLY [expletive] THAT KNIFE IS TALKING!! For the members who have been brave (stupid? ) enough to share a photo of themselves with us, I try to put that face to their words. (Sometimes RicWilly is wearing a dress...) For the rest...pretty much a disembodied voice. Oh, and yes, the girl in my avatar is rather easy on the eyes, isn't she? Whoever she is... All I know is the artist's pen name...they do great stuff, though. Some of it uh...not appropriate for family-friendly forums...but the rest is really good. I like it, anyway. Maybe I should get around to writing that essay on why I use this avatar... ...Nah. So Paul, have you ever introduced yourself by name in your videos? I remember it being a huge deal when we once heard you speak...and do recall you commenting in a few afterwards...but I can't seem to remember you ever saying your name.

Haha! This whole thread is hilarious...almost as hilarious as Daniels' description of shipping services in this months digest. As for me...guilty as charged, I've always thought it was Southern...and now I think I am too much in the habit to change it. Sorry Paul.. Good thing I don't really need to speak your name, and butcher it out loud...I CAN spell it right ;D As for Crockett's avatar...he is kinda cute ..I actually thought it was the Marlboro man..then again...I think everyone in a cowboy hat is the marlboro man. Hehe avatars talking...I'm glad I don't do that...Marc's chihauhau would have left me with nightmares if I even once imagined it talking. Chihauhaus are scary enough as it is...throw in a needle and the ability to talk...give Stephen King a run for his money.

Well, I don't think it is stupid or brave... I just find it trusting... First I pictured you a 14 year old kid, then a grumpy guy in his 30's now I picture you... Well your avatar. I must say, you could probably get away with murder with that avatar. Where did you find it? If you don't want to post it on the forum (As it is family friendly, or something) can you PM it to me? I wouldn't mind seeing other pics as well... And do the essay! Paul, you should mention your whole name in your next video... I always known him as Paul. I acknowledged his last name, although misread it.

Yeah, those dyslexic anscestors... It is indeed supposed to be pronounced 'Suthren' - but I am used to it being butchered seven ways to Sunday (Sutherland, Southern or South are the most common). I am actually impressed when someone gets it right... Hehe. I'll include it as in 'in-joke' in my next video. (May be a while off though, in the middle of a rather intense heatwave down here!)

Heatwave? It's cold here...and it's in the middle of the bloody desert! Well..no snow...just cold...like a refrigerator. How hot is it getting over there, Paul? And Parish...LOL I don't even smoke! Not too bad looking yourself, hun. I'm glad that there are other females on here other than djmahoney. Girls who like swords are...well, they make me happy, let's end it there. ;D

Girls who like swords are...well, they make me happy, let's end it there. ;D Yes, let's definetly end it there... While your shirtless cowboy pic does not really do it for me... I like your little blub under your Avatar. "Part Knight. Part Cowboy. Part Samurai. Part Viking. All American." I can certainly identify with that.

How hot is it getting over there, Paul? Officially I believe we call it 'bloody hot'. Technically, now 7 days in a row over 104 Fahrenheit, with the hottest day at 118... Take a step outside and get burned to a crisp weather..!

Thanks for the clarification, Paul. On another note: My last name is Sarge which would seem pretty obvious on pronounciation. But actually, its really pronounced "Sar-guh" and originates from the word 'saarg' and not the English word 'sergeant'. However, since its so difficult to explain this to people; moreso since I am a sergeant in the National Guard (which has resulted in 10 million jokes over the years - even other culltures think it's hilarious); I don't cause a fuss though. But to make matters worse, people reading my uniform name tag/tape have mispronounced it as sage, sarjee, serge, and sallage (WTF?). It's hard enough to get people to understand that Sarge is not a nickname, but my real surname. Hell, SFI won't even grant me a membership because they think I am trying to use a handle instead of my real name.

I agree and disagree. I mean, we all know the place has changed substantially...but like a great old car that maybe doesn't run like it used to...you've still got to respect it. Never know...maybe eventually it'll be restored to like new =D. Anyhow, sorry for the hijack lol...back to your regularly scheduled programming. Cris

You're right. My bad.
It's a great source of information overall, I've just got beef with a few members over that that left a bad taste in my mouth, not suited for public discussion.
Moving along then.

It is indeed supposed to be pronounced 'Suthren' I knew it. But is the "th" a soft one like in "the", or a hard sound as in "throw"?
