Rittersteel Skull Katana

So, I'm checking this one over just because it appeals to my love of fantasy weaponry:

(A skull pommel and *three* skull menuki on one side of the tsuka? This is pretty far from the "historically accurate" playing field, so let's just not go there, eh? :-))
When I read that a sword has a "hand-forged high-carbon steel blade", my B.S. meter goes off :-). I'd probably get this thing solely for looks and costuming, however, I would ask: has anyone had personal experience with this blade? Know anyone who has? Thoughts or comments on it?
I'd possibly consider buying this one because I own Rittersteel's double-headed axe, and personal experience has shown me it's well built. Plus, I've also seen guys use Rittersteel weapons in stage combat with no problems.
