Huh? But Momma said I shouldn't run with Sharpies.... Why not? They are just pens... afraid you will trip and write all over the floor?

A./ I don't know what a sharpie pen is? B./ Sam you are an Enigma... A Sharpie is a writing utensil, sorta like a small magic marker. Aye, just that, an enigma, wrapped in illusion surrounded by mystery.

Hey, I don't think you should run with anything. My uncle was running with a tooth brush in his mouth, he tripped and the tooth brush was wedged in the back of his jaw! It required some surgery to get out, the images are rather disturbing . So, no running with anything phallic, sharp, or delicate...especially not a combination of the three

Aye, just that, an enigma, wrapped in illusion surrounded by mystery. Indeed... stuffed in a puzzle and tied with a conundrum bow. ;D

OK, I lost. I did not meet the finish line I had set for myself, so I have extended it to the end of next weekend. Gonna have to wait til then.

Here is some shots from this weekend. Pommel heating up to be drifted My favorite shot, the pommel sort of soaking away in the heat, I turned the flame off and the forge started to cool but the pommel stayed hotter, it was very neat Guard heating up Forging the guard from 1 inch wide 3/8ths thick Guard starting to be cleaned up a bit Pommel all cleaned up and mocked up to the tang (not peened yet of course) blank cut out from the bandsaw I hoped to get the blade all finished in one weekend, from cutout blank to finished sword but alas, I would have had to make some compromises that would not have been possible without effecting it negatively performance wise. I need a tempering tank, which I will have made this week. This sword will be done next weekend.

I like the look of the wicked stabbing point on the blade... look forward to seeing more of it.

The quench went great today. However, my grinder motor took a fizzle on me, so the rest of the sword will have to wait.
Sword is nice and flexible, but still very hard. No tip damage from dropping point first into the concrete floor, repeatedly.
