I think that one's been out almost a year. It's been in at least three catalogs I have.
Since first seeing it I've thought it had a lot of potential to be a nice sword. It looks like the blade is beefy enough and the hilt is nice, excepting that the guard looks too beefy. But it could be reworked to look really nice.
Frequently MRL swords look better in person than in the catalog. That's certainly the case with their "Type IV" Type XIV arming sword. The two look quite similar in the blade, so it wouldn't surprise me if this Sword of Milan turned out to be significantly more pleasing in person than in MRL's photo.

Could be a cheaper alternative to their type XIV. In this new economic environment it wouldn't be such a bad thing

hey brissybeater! How the bloody hell are ya? ;D (I loved those ads btw) I think you may be the closest person on the forum to me geographically speaking (kinda sad really isn't it?) we have about 4 websites in NZ that I know of that sell swords. One sells a good range of windlass, hanwei and the new valiant armoury line along with cold steel knives etc the others tend to sell either Windlass, Deepeka and/or Hanwei. As for pricing? not too good mate. That sword of Milan is 355 NZD. I s'pose it isn't too bad but compared to the yanks? Nowhere near! I went down to weta workshop the other day and saw one of the one-of-a-kind Peter Lyon sword. absolutely gobsmacking!

Chris B, you've made my day! ;D Since there doesn't seem to be a distributor for Windlass here in Oz, and the shipping and exchange rate from the US being so appalling, I've been looking at assorted Windlass swords with thwarted longing. It never even occurred to me that there might be Windlass distributors in NZ! You little beauty! Have a karma! My father-in-law's a kiwi, and makes regular trips back there, and my wife and daughter are headed over at easter-time, so I might just see how much I can save between now and then..... Ok, using the Google I've found Superior Swords... www.superiorswords.co.nz/ and King of Swords... www.kingofswords.co.nz/ Any others I should know about? Your Blood is Worth Bottling! Cheers Marc E
