Thanks for the input, guys. And thanks for dropping a line, Debbie! I am glad it at least partially appeals to you.
As for the hilt on Drottning, it is actually a very light flare. The hilt would show such, but the carving into the hilt "wings" makes it look like it hooks more than it actually does.

Ok! Yet another sword made with a good friend in mind. This tiome, it was a female, but the blade surprised me. It turned out with all the points of her personality (fiesty, strong, and beautiful) but still held the usual beefiness of a viking sword. It was odd at first, but I grew to like it as the design came to fruition. The double Crescent was an accidental design and has no particular meaning. Just made it experimenting with random shapes and liked how it fit the pommel. I knew I needed a design on it with such a basic shaped pommel. Length: 36" Blade: 29" Blade Width: 2" Weight: 2 lb. If I can get away with explaining something. This sword turned out so much better than I thought it would when I first started it. Everything seemed wrong. But I went on with it anyway for the sake of getting a scabbard done. And sure enough, it became a sword with an emotion and story behind it. The warrior of this sword would be a happy one - lighthearted and always smiling. The bright, light leather and bright stainless steel seem to reflect that. But the blood-red grip and leather bands (hence the name) give off a warning aura of danger - that this smiling warrior has the ability to become dangerous and deadly when need arises. Thanks all!

uh, 16" handle?! Wow that is more of a polearm I'd be tempted to get something made like that, I love shorter swords, although the blade would be better as a 25 incher.

Ok, this came out of my head totally randomly. The thought of a spirit or ghost based sword...not boo boo, scary scary ghost sword..but the honored spirit kind. And this is what came out I'll add lengths and weights later. For now...I'm just tired.

Crockett: two things. First would you mind if people actually have these blades realised? Second can you design a 25 inch blade in this style? If you don't mind people using these designs I might have to put some money together and talk to Bren.
Also I know I am pedantic but the ð symbol is actually a th Bjòðann would be Bee-yu-than if I remember my icelandic studies correctly, so all these d's are actually th's.

Huh. Really? Wow...thought they were d's.
About getting them realized. If you want to do so, PM me and we can talk. I have copyrighted them, but I also have plans, though I'm not sure which set of plans I will be using. Which brings me to the point that I would love to find a smith who might be willing to do a team effort with me, where the swords would be made/forged/produced and then sold. Obviously, the money would go to the smith, but I'd still like to be involved. Somehow.
This is something, honestly, that I love doing. And I've been finding I actually like designing swords for specific people.

And you do a swell job of doing so.
On another note, ANDI really does look like a ghost sword! +1 Karma for that.

Oh Dear, I am sorry. I think I came off a bit Judgemental huh? Like my namesake I wonder what sword she would have carried into battle? They are looking great Crockett! I did not mean to get so carried away Deborah

Carried away? Judgmental? I certainly did not think so, Debbie. I saw more encouragement than I saw criticism.
And Deborah? Hm...she might have carried a sickle sword maybe? I'm guessing you mean Deborah of the book of Judges, correct?

Also I know I am pedantic but the ð symbol is actually a th Bjòðann would be Bee-yu-than if I remember my icelandic studies correctly, so all these d's are actually th's. My grandfather pronounced it it biòddn. ð is pronounced d with the tongue between the teeth in norse. Th is þ. On Iceland both þ and ð is in use, for example in "Þrot Baugs yrði þungt högg".

Found this in another forum which may explain the difference better: "Icelandic has two unique letter-characters of its own, Þ/þ and Ð/ð, which were used in Old English. "Þ" is pronounced as "th" in "thing" and "Ð" is pronounced as the "th" in "them"." In modern norwegian these two charachters have evolved to a straight t and d, but you can still find þ and ð spoken in some old dialects in Norway too. Seems I'm even more pedantic than you, Bloodwraith.

I don't think that is possible. You explained that exactly the same way my icelandic sagas teacher explained it.
