Yeah... there has been a lot of interest in that sword... lots of fellow forumites are really into it. Sadly, it has not come to us yet...

anyone know if they will be offering the "Extra sharp" option on these right away? I would reccomend that to anyone who wants to cut.

Yeah, I would hope so... wouldn't wanna go threw what you did to sharpen that Castile. Yikes. I'm MORE interested in the give away... ;D Sonny said there would be a give away for the Krigschwert and the Bristol like there was with that Castile. Yum YUM *YUM* ;D

I hope VA has got the extra sharp option going on all ....... hell they can take an extra month to get it out to me I dont care just want that ready to REALLY go edge geometry ....... or at least extra sharp enough I just have to hit the high grit sandpaper for a bit rather then scrape scrape scrape on the stone to get it going good ........ I gotta ask, the Bristol, is that a bastard, hand n half, single handed ...... what it is precisely ?

The Kriegschwert and Bristol are going to have a better factory edge then the Castiles. The extra sharp versions will still be available on request.

It does not show as 'in stock' on their site... I would not think they actualy hav any in hand yet.

Did I hear my name being called? ;D Freaky, really. I was experiencing a bit of sword burnout for the past couple weeks, so I decided to step away from the forum for a while and pursue some other interests. I happened to check in just now and this was the first post I saw. If anyone's gonna get a Kriegschwert, I guess I should, it being named after me and all...

I do! Wide hand-and-a-halfs are among my favorites. I tend to prefer Type XVIII blades, but I'm not super picky. ;D
