Nice, Bren! Is this one a comission, or will it be available for me to drool over?

Hey! He is making weapons again! Finally! I am getting to accustomed to your other swords... (I swear I own the Whispering woods sword already, seeing how often I look at it.)

Actually Seth you'd better sell something and buy it. There's been another sniffing around your girl.
SoD This is a commission. It's a stage combat sword for a fellow in Germany. 2mm edges, rounded off.

What? No!!
Well I am currently selling my Bow and might be selling my guitar and amp as well... Maybe I can beat Slayer to owning a Fable Blade...

I wouldn't worry about that Seth... there is NO doubt in my mind you will beat Slayer to the line in owning a Fable Blade... our young friend is a bit... scatered. ;D

He is very similar to me. When I get money I look for the nearest thing I can afford. I am not sure if he is like THAT, but if he is, it will be a never ending race to own one of Brendan's swords. A race no one will win.

Nice blades, but taking Brenno's work and hitting something with it would be like taking a brand-new Albion to a cinderblock. The sword I want is going to be used and used alot. I'd not want to go about bashing a work of art.
At the price Eyal quotes for other custom work I have seen, I'd have no qualms about trashing a $400-$500USD sword to which I could have an identical made if I wanted - I shoot about 4x that much in ammo per year, so its an afterthought.
Still waiting on a reply from Eyal about it; as I said, all of this is tenative, pending on his response as to if he would do it, how much it would cost, and delivery time...

I feel ya. That lowlander is a stage sword. I've already whacked it pretty hard on a pine pole about half a dozen times to test it. I hope the new owner is good to it. There's some serious hours in her.

Excellent!
Eyal got back with me this morning. He gave my sword idea a once over and said that it would be possible to do with little difficulty. I'll pay the 50% deposit soon, get him some more information, then begin the wait (estimated at 6 months).
Total cost quoted will be only $325 USD + shipping. I'm willing to give it a go at this price and see what happens. If it's half as good as I would like it to be, that would be a steal, not to mention a unique DSA prototype of my own making. ;D
I revive this thread as updates come in.

If you are not satisfied with it when it comes in... I will take it off your hands... In exchange for some money. But seriously, now that I take another look at, this is almost exactly what I am looking for in a sword as well (Except for threaded tang, but easy fix with some locktite). It is 2 inches shorter than what I would prefer, but this is an awesome design,.

Oddingaard's sword design is a two hand bastered sword... and would be somewhat unweildy in one hand.

I know! I am falling in love with the design!
I think it is a disease. A beautiful, beautiful disease that caused people to want more than one kind of sword at once.
