I saw that vid ages ago... in fact, I was talking to same about that in another thread. Pure Awesome. I used to send that vid to any of my friends that would say stuff like 'Dude, I want one of those buster swords, that would be awesome!' Yeh... most of the guys could probably not even LIFT the thing, let alone use it. ;D

No kidding. It is an old video, but dang is it epic. The guy swinging it could probably out power me anyday, and even he is having a hard time.

If this guy engages me and my Cheness Ranko on a battle, he will be sliced 10 times before he even finishes his first blow! The moves are too slow to be successful in a real fight. Regards, Alex. P.S. After wielding my Atlantean for a while, the Ranko feels light as a feather!

I would assume that it's a good training sword First, you go swing that sword around a bit, then pick up your DSA sword, and it's like a rapier!

All that sword is good for training is how to break your own back. The guy in the vid is well built, and he is killing himself just to move that thing around. It's a giant silly monstrosity of steel. Funny as hell to watch, tho. ;D

The guy has a great sense of humor about it all though. I'd probably get along well with him...
"I am either going to break that, or I'm going to damage my back horribly trying. Either way, YouTube wins!"

He'd have to be real tool if he thought he could wield it in any given situation with any type of success beyond stationary, inanimate targets. Seeing as he has a sense of humor and did it simply because he wanted to, I'd guess it safe to say that it was all in fun and hardly a demonstration in swordsmanship.

Many years when I lived close by Museum Replicas and was a regular in the showroom they used to carry one that was way beefier and heavier then anything I've seen in several years marketed as a Conan sword but it was really a good looking sword.
