by the way guys, all vendors(in SBG forum) have been asked by pm and emails to participate so, the sellers(vendors) that aren't on the sponsors list are the ones that refused or backed up the sponsorising. they all had at least 2 pm or emails.
we offered every one to be in the same boat.
i had to put that on just to make sure everyone knows we have been equal with everyone and haven't make any preferences.

The early bird draw for the Seax-style knife from Fable Blades will be on June 1st, 2009 at 6PM EST. Those who buy a t-shirt before then will have their names entered in that draw. If you win the early bird, your name will still go back in for the main draws for the Raw blade and gift certificates. The Early Bird draw will be done live via webcam and we will post a link that day so anyone who cares to watch it will be able to do so. The winner's name will then also be posted here, at WSS, and UBC's youtube and facebook group pages. Good luck everyone, and don't forget, you can't win if you don't buy a t-shirt to support United Backyard Cutters first annual gathering , Moyoushi 2009!

The plan right now, is to have a roped off arena area, where only the cutter will be permitted during cutting sessions. A spectator area will be outside the ropes. Unsheathing of blades will be restricted to specific areas, and all blades will be stored and out of sight by 6pm, when feasting and merriment commences. Saturday evenings 'movie night' will most likely include UFC 100 if we get enough interested persons to pitch in for the PPV.
Also note; We, the organizers, will try to provide as much cutting materials ( tatami, bottles, etc.) as possible for this event. However, those attending are welcome to bring more. Start saving your water bottles and milk cartons and pick yourself up a few cheap beach mats if you can. There will be hours of cutting time during both days.

Hello Morpheus I like the *cutters only arena* idea. I have another idea, to push this cocnept further ; I think this cutting area should divided in multiple small cutting areas so that each cutters will have his own cutting place. I think it would make the place even safer. Keeping blades stored when the eating and drinking starts is a great idea too. If you drink, don't make the cut

Sounds like fun, and I *might* actually go (read: from California, so I'm looking at some $$ for plane travel and car rental :-).)
I have a question, though: If people are camping, will there be showers available? After a day of cutting, people tend to get rather . . . fragrant. And I just don't have that much deodorant to go around :-).
