Kool! What kind of sword you offering, Jim? Damn, I wish I could go, but I'm going to drive out to Yellowstone a couple weeks later so it just wouldn't work. Not sure yet, All i know is it will be a brand new shinken, (right from the manufacturer) close to if not over $300 (Possibly customized) and either from hanwei, cheness, or Roninswords... With all my financial woes i won't have my donation in until February, so take a look at the sponsors list around then and it should be up there.

[/quote] by the way,, no,,it is not wiwingti ( aka marc) that does this party. randy higgins and me are in canada so,, it is easyer for randy and me to organise that moyoushi than for jonis lowry.(AKA menukisan). this is the reason why i am helping so much to make that happen. for my very best US friend, jonis. and to try to make people happy and benefit of great prizes. marc

Hi friends, I'm Randy Higgins, the person who is hosting this event for Jonis and UBC. I'll try to answer some questions for you. As of right now, there are approximately a dozen sword enthusiasts who are committed to attending, with quite a few more ' I'm going to try to make it' people. Rest assured that regardless of whether we have a large turn-out or just a handful of people, it is going to be a memorable event. I have hosted large gatherings here for 4x4 offroad clubs for 6 years, as well as large 'friends and family' gatherings for over 20 years. My annual charity-based events for the offroaders usually have about 100 people in attendance. It is a nice, relaxed atmosphere with a vacation feel to it, and there is lots of room, even if you are bringing a large motorhome. I have comfortable, clean outdoor 'facilities' ( read 'outhouse'), several picnic tables, a large bonfire pit, and a couple of propane BBQs that will be for everyone's use. I even have wireless internet for those of you who can't live without your laptops, and a couple of places to plug into if you need power. As for swords crossing the border, we have no laws banning long blades like the UK, and I'm sure if they are properly transported ( in a sword bag, in the trunk, etc. ) there would be no issues. We will try to get confirmation from the RCMP as well as Canada Customs. Here's some pictures from one of my offroad events to give you a feel of my place... www.angelfire.com/art/ManicMedium/psoc5.htmland a short video of another... www.livevideo.com/video/1DEE403D4CC647A99442E4259E178EC0/roadkill-bbq-2007.aspx
