Paul southern as accepted to sponsor too i personnally will give a sword. it is not over guys,,,it is just a begginning. i will communicate with others manufacturers and each time someone will accept to sponsor, his name and what he give will be on the board. and on my website,,there will be a page just for that. marc AKA wiwingti sponsors and what they give will be add here

I would like more information... how many people are expected to attend? How many t-shirts will be made? What promotional value will be gleaned for donating a sword? A wrap job? A tsuba?
I wil take this to some industry friends... but need more details to present to them

Well, being in RI, I could see that it may be feasible for me to drive up. (Road trip!).
don't have much for swords, hopefully by July I'll have an SBG custom. So at least by then I can bring my 1601 and sbg custom.
But I certainly would like to go to Canada

I have been thoroughly searched entering Canada just because I'm from Georgia and they believe we all carry guns in GA... How will crossing the border with swords play out?

i tought about that too marc, and i am planning of talking with the (i think it is RCMP, in english) GRC in french. police of canada. to know what are the possibility to do. i am sure thare are things we can do. for now, do not worry about that. and,,if,,there wouldn't be possibility of bringing swords in canada,, i'll find a way to get with some sponsors,,,to supply enough swords for having fun. first i will bring all de demos i'll have ( not for sale) but for cutting. and,,for sure,,there will be won swords,,, and i'll find a way to make everyone happy. all the money we will bring from the t-shirts,, wi be for,,,hot-dogs, hamburger,,,(examples),,, and more swords,,,don't worry. ok,,you will say,,,oh,,,it is not my sword,,,oh,,,oh,,, hey guys,,it is a cutting party and not a show your sword and a lot of swords will be there don't worry mouhahahahaha.

I'll certainly contribute, not by donating a sword (I don't have THAT much free cash), but I'll definitely buy some merchandise while I'm there to help out the cause.
i'm estimating it'll be about a 10 hour drive, but it would be SO worth it!
would there be like, seminars and stuff?

i could say that all ideas will be take seriously, and talked between the organisator of the event and,,,to the sponsors if it as to. Paul southern offered his help if needed, waiting for the other guys to join us.
Marc Ridgeway offered help too. so,,i think that it will be very interesting.
all suggestions will be wrote on a page and be examinated.

Yeah, I think it would be pretty cool if there were people that could show you a trick or two with cutting or like, how to sharpen and polish a sword properly, you know, cool real-life how-to's for sword owners

Interesting! I am not sure what my summer will look like, but I would LOVE to be able to make it to this event! Maybe it will be a little easier for me to bring my swords across the border since I am a Canadian citizen....maybe not. (Hell, I've taken 2 shotguns across and back with no problem.) Either way, It would be really cool to pay a visit to the home country. Haven't spent much time east of Saskatoon at all, actually. Especially not on sword business! Wiwingti, keep me posted about this! I may be able to help out with spreading the word and I could eventually include it as a joint-SBG Special Project.... PS: Wiwingti, are you originally Canadian? If so, your English is pretty bad! lol (Much better than my French, though ) Hope to see all of you guys there!!!!
