As anybody seen those? And handled one? What do you all think about it? Looking forward reading your thoughts and comments on it... It is being discontinued, I think, discounted at MRL anyway... Ref

It looks good but I don't know anything about it. It looks that it has a wide blade that could be quite flexible but if you don't plan to thrust it should be fine.

Good looking sword. However the wide blade seems to have little distal taper, which could make this a very blade heavy weapon, with a POB far from the guard. Just my 2 cents.

This sword just came out, and now they are discontinuing it, I hate Windlass for this.

I got to hold this blade yesterday and the tip felt heavy and it just did not feel balanced in my hands, but I did like the sword other then that

My wife, who usually just flips though the new catalog when they come, checking out any new clothing (she makes custom period clothing as a hobby), saw the "Great Ouse River" sword and was.."oooo". The description caught eye...she was born about 20 minutes from Ely. I have to admit, I like the looks of it too. cheers, Bill

Yeap Bill .. the Ouse River sword seems elegant, light and specially for two hands,I believe make it fast, another coming for the Windlass great swords, I hope they continues with the new improvements of their long blades especially for the thrusting swords. I still waiting for a two handed sword which catches all my attention, like the one which is with the Henry VIII's tonlet armor .
