Hi all,
Pleasure to meet you all! (First post but, as many, I have been a long time lurker on this forum and I have been a member of my myarmoury for a few years too).
I was wondering if anyone had news about the second batch of generation 2 henry V swords (the ones with a reinforced tip). I'm pretty sure I have read a post from Clyde here saying that they would be ready for November, but that was a while ago and I couldn't find any news since. I live in the Uk and I need to be quiet sure I'm purchasing the right one, since shipping it back would a pain.
I suppose the swords available on KOA or sword of might to quote only those ones are the first batch with the tip issue.
Now I would definitely like to unwrap a one handed type XVIII under the Cristmas tree this year, so I you know something I don;t about those, let me know!
Cheers,
J

Hi Guys, Thanks for the warm welcome and also for the update on the Henry V gen2. Damn it's going to make a late Christmas, especially considering shipping to Europe....but I have that sword in my mind for a while now and I won't put aside the idea of getting one asap that easily I'm afraid. It's going to be one of those situations where You print a picture of your gift and put it under the tree Cheers, J

Jason, may I know if the scabbard of the 'improved' Henry V comes with leather wrapped over wood, or simply leather (like those of Windlass)?

Hi larry, I'm not Jason but all the pictures of the gen 2 henry V I've seen so far all had a wooden core covered in black leather and metal fittings. I'm surprised you encountered a windlass with a bare leather scabbard. My first sword was a windlass towton and featured a "wooden" core, covered in very cheap and thin black leather. J

Hi J, I do not wish to detract us from the thread so just a quick answer: yea, both my windlass sword of Oran & Scimitar came with stiff leather scabbard with metal fittings. I wouldn't say all, but most of their recent productions come that way, as far as I observed. Their KOH collection, however, have wooden scabbard, but they're sold separately

Hi there...I haven't seen any update on this yet.
It's fairly frustrating since I'm waiting for more info to order...and those Deltins on KOA are quiet tempting too!
let me know if you have heard something.
Cheers,
J
