I looked for the Global Gear reproduction but I found only the United Cutlery version on their site. Could you provide a link to their own version?

www.globalgear.com.au/prod2832.htmHere she is KC. 1075 AISI. Best that I have seen. This used to be on ebay regularly, but is likely no longer available. I wish I had purchased one. At the time, shipping was $120. Brendan may know more than myself. Rat tail tang sounds horrible, but I think that the DSA would qualify as such???

No... the DSA tangs may look small, but they have been proven pretty tough and are bigger then a rat tail tang. Rat tail tang BAD. As for re-doing the Grip... Brian at DBK could re-do the grip for you no problem.

Hmm, the Global Gear version looks nice and all, but that "rat-tail tang" worries me. And it doesnt say what type of steel is used, or the weight. I'd be wary of it.

The details look very very nice but, for such a long blade, a rat-tail tang would render it unsuitable even to practice forms. I should recomend a blacksmith over here to try to improve their version of Anduril, which isn't as nicely finished as Global Gear's, but it is a real sword with full tang 0.8" depth and as wide as the widest part of the blade.

I recently bought the DSA version of Anduril from Brian, who did a nice re-wrap of it. I'm VERY pleased with the sword... the blade is great, tho the furnature is very plain.
