A cast handle needn't be a bad thing. Many 19th century military hangers (and their modern reproductions) have cast brass hilts, and are very solid. Mind you, we don't know what metal this hilt is cast from, how well the tang is fitted into it, or how it's fixed. If you buy it, let us know!

I was able to handle a functional replica of the daywalker sword at a store I frequent. It was an accurate replica, but way way too blade heavy for a sword like that.
