Hello (note, I am aware that the word dussack has multiple meanings, but for this thread I'm talking about the cutlass-of-doom like sword) While doing research from a sword for my gf, I stumbled upon a few really interesting pieces that while totally not what I was looking for, were still very neat. By far the more interesting of those was this: www.myarmoury.com/review_dt5174.htmlAs you can see, Del Tin does make a version, but it seems quite heavy - it's 13 oz heavier than the original, who wasn't very light to start with. And it's not sharp. Does anyone know of anyone else who makes one? Am I coocoo in thinking this sword looks pretty awesome? cheers, Ancalagon

You are not coocoo, or is it cuckoo? Whatever. I have looked at that sword with lust in my heart for a long time. To me, it is beautiful in a powerful and cruelly elegant sort of way. I've seen pictures of one or two that were custom pieces made very accomplished custom smiths. But I'm sure the prices were well over $1,000, maybe nearing $2,000. I too would love to see someone make a production piece like this that was of the proper weight and balance.

Hello I guess coocoo is the frenglish spelling, sorry It's one of those blades that a part of you can't help but wonder "is that really practical?" while an other part screams "my precious!!!!" I've asked around a bit and found this lead: www.armorymarek.com/Not entirely sure which sword in there is supposed to be the dussack though - one is straight bladed, and the other has crazy serrations.
