I bought this sword a while back from forum member Jonathan Hopkins. It was barely over the $300 limit for stuff we mostly discuss here. And Jonathan's a great guy to deal with. I did some rework on this sword and I had promised him I would post pictures when done. But then I forgot. Sorry. In any case, here's the old girl with the following changes: - Sharp corners removed from guard
- Guard and pommel blued
- Fuller termination feathered
- Edge sharpened and reshaped (appleseed-ish)
This is a grand handling sword. I haven't cut with it yet, but I need to rectify that situation soon. Enjoy the pics. Blade Closeups

Nicely smoothed on the lnes of these. I don't know how many 1319 swords were made but this one made the rounds a bit. I think you are on the fourth of that one. Mine is really ragged, as he never finished them off much. More for go than show at the time. He had done a nice blackened in mine but no kinda bowtie, that I have always liked. My pommel was just a bit wider, as my tang was an inch shorter.
There were something like a fair half dozen XIIa versions during the 2003. the 1319 is a nice blade. I still have a softy for my XIIIa but I have been very impressed with my 1319. My bud Todd has adopted an Albion Baron and the look of my 1319 was not so unlike the general gist of the Baron. A bit forward of his Albion and he even managed a "Hmmph" at dynamics, even though his Baron is a wonderful sword. We know where the Albions are going but the Gus stuff is no slouch in the handlings.
Cheers
Hotspur; I still like the old CF sidesword from 2001ish. It was staggeringly nice but I like the cutters too
