Yeah I figured you meant in the configuration he was looking for, but I couldn't resist the friendly jibe.

I have found the Hanwei Hand & a Half at a local retailer here in sweden, the current price is $333
Is this an acceptable price for this sword? considering I won't have to pay any shipping costs and can examine the sword before buying.

Seems a bit steep, Skal, it's $209 at KOA. Then again, I don't know what it costs to ship it to Sweden.

Hmm... The shipping usually varies between $30 to $50 depending on where I'm ordering from.
Darn it! nothing's ever easy, is it?

Not even just shipping...what the VAT? Customs fee? Generally I think you end up paying close to 100 to get something shipped from here to there. So paying a little extra for a LOT less hassle might not be a bad route. And you can see it in hand to see if you like it too boot...and return it if something is wrong as well. A bit extra for the extra piece of mind...might be worthwhile.

Since you are on that side of the pond...have a look at www.armourclass.comThey are in Glasgow Scotland and make very, very good pieces. A wee bit over the $300 mark but worth having a browse at their offerings. One of those makers that doesn't get alot of exposure. Cheers, Bill

I would say this - do you trust this retailer? Hanwei sometimes has issues with their quality control. If you think or know that if there is a problem, the retailer will stand up for you and get a replacement, I would say go ahead and get it. It's a pretty good sword. (we are talking about the sharp version and not the practical?). Ancalagon

for my first sword, I bought the two handed Gothic, and love it! but the gaurdian looks ALMOST just as cool, and for a one handed sword, the Norman and knight are insanely durable, especially the knight. Also the Gen 2 Maximilian Sword is a good one.
