Thanks for the good advice. I called them and they said that they do not know when albion sends them their next batch of swords. I guess ill keep checking their website and get lucky

I'm assuming that OP means the satin finished mild steel pommel option. I don't recall Albion offering swords with stainless steel furniture.

I have a Count with steel darkened ppmme, but yeah haven't heard of that either. There are some swords which have a pommel option between copper-alloy (bronze) and mild steel. Also, the mild steel pommels have an additional option between their standard satin finish, a chemically blackened (a chemical patina) finish, and an artificially aged (distressed and chemically etched) finish. I've made all of my Albion purchases directly from the company. To my knowledge, they do not offer stainless steel guards or pommels on their Next Generation Line of swords (which The Duke is a part of). I can assure you that I have never seen stainless as an option for any of my orders, and I've had to periodically remove minor rust spotting from my satin finished guards and pommels. |
