When I see all the threads of people posting their new dream sword custom creations, is it wrong to start thinking about how long it will take before it is offered in the classifieds here (and in many cases how much I'm willing to spend to buy it)?

Alientude will get tired of his Elmslie falchion any minute now. I just know it!

I haven't even received the falchion yet, and pellius is already trying to snipe it out from under me.

Stormmaster and Christian Short come to mind immediately!

Yes, it's wrong. Totally and completely. In fact, I am horrified that anybody would even consider such a thing.
Your only hope of reformation and forgiveness is to immediately forfeit your sword collection and distribute it to the forum community. Otherwise you will remain a horrible human. #facts

Of course it's wrong. For the same money, or sometimes less, than a modern custom sword, one can buy serviceable and historically interesting antiques. Go and sin no more!

What prompted this thought (during my commute home one night) is that I have 5 custom swords made by GGK and I have yet to ever contact them. I think when I reach 10 of other people's GGK customs, I will order a nice set for myself (matching materials for a khukuri, kopis and falcata).
I guess I am just the enabler who helps people fund the commission of their NEW dream once the old dream lost its luster.

I usually dont sell a sword i find myself using, and unless for some reason i end up really hating the zsey that i commission, i doubt i will sell it lol. Tbh i couldnt imagine waiting 1 year+ for a sword and then decide to sell it right on arrival. Id atleast give it a chance to see if i really like it
