Looking for the best all around katana for your money on the low end of things, something I can cut with but won’t take a set as easily.
This will be used mostly for backyard cutting and form practice. Preferably something that can be used on a wide range of targets.
(Everything from tatami to pumpkins)
I’ve browsed a lot of the forum and have found a lot of good resources and guides but much of the seller info is out of date.
Preferences:
Shinogi-Zukuri
No-hi
Through Hardened
Niku
Price: ~$200-500 (With the goal of keeping it as low as possible without compromising the blade integrity too much)
I know there are good sellers out there but I don’t know how the blades rate in terms of handling vs quality etc. It doesn’t have to be pretty, just functional. I am 6’ with above average reach.
