Hi all,
Thanks for allowing me to participate in the community. I recently started my collection by buying from SBG - I purchased a Ryujin Classic T10 custom and I love it! Of course, being Canadian, there is some challenges but worth the extra cost.
That being said, I know there is a guide for Canadian-based options for swords but I was wondering if anyone knows a list of Canadian-friendly US based shops? I tried to get something that SBG didn't have from another vendor (I don't want to name names for now) but they absolutely refused to do so, even though I was not asking them to ship to Canada.
Thanks and look forward to engaging with the community.

Nice! Ryujin makes some pretty solid budget blades. From my experience, they tend to be a bit better shaped than other longquan offerings.

I haven't had many troubles in Canada. Here's a list of places off the top of my head that I know fellow Canadians have ordered from: Basically any ebay vendor. Any of the Japanese Iaito (simulated swords) and nihonto dealers I have dealt with ship to Canada. Motohara has very happily taken money from myself and a few fellow students. Dynasty forge (not sure what their stock/shipping situation is at the moment) is based in Canada (swords are made in China). Cloudhammer ships to Canada. This shop is Canadian. Primarily knives but they stock Hanwei. www.warriorsandwonders.com/

Welcome to the forum. I have that issue with several US vendors although I give an US address. It concerns the US laws and the need for additional licensing and is not restricted to swords. Here are two vendors that will ship internationally. Kult of Athens www.kultofathena.com/Museum Replicas Limited www.museumreplicas.com/
