found myself watching a lot of restoration vids of late mostly old machinery but this one cam up on my feed, these style of knives have always intrigued me , mostly due to not knowing how the mechanism worked, this one didnt seem like a resto more like a reworking of the knife, still cool but not what i thought it would be when done, so my question is, is it restored or has it been remade into a "new" knife?, i know its a bit of the theseus ship paradox , but would like other imput as it doesnt look like i think it looked originally so to my mind it hasnt been restored merely remade

Is it restored? NO It was 'repaired' and made functional again. And the snakeskin handle is awful My .02

it started off as a swivel-guard folding hunter, and ended as a different swivel-guard folding hunter
more of a re-incarnation than a restoration, IMO

I realized something that always bugs me about these. When they start grinding or working on a piece, they NEVER pad it in their vice to prevent additional damage and work. Very odd. Or...I'm just wierd when I do projects.

yeah not much of a "restorer" this one he "restores" a scateboard by taking the wheels/trucks off the deck making a new deck out of pine then molding new wheels and putting the whole thing back together so only origonal part is the trucks, only thing i got out of knife vid was a bit better of an understanding how the blade mech works,
