Well somebody on here owns the early one and seemed quite pleased with his. No idea about the late one.
Although the early spanish sword seems too heavy to me. Like hunk o iron club heavy.

Yeah, the Late Spanish sword is almost two pounds lighter.

I had planned on buying the Early Spanish Sword from Arms of Valor. Jason ordered one for me, but when it came in he examined it and informed me that I probably wouldn't like it. His analysis was that the PoB was quite far out, that the pommel was probably too light to properly balance the piece, and that it was slow and too tip heavy.
That said, I have never held this sword. But I respect and value Jason's opinion.

I too have found Jason of Arms of Valor to be one of the most honest and reputable guys in the sword selling business.

I looked it over, thank you, it was very informative. I'm still leaning towards the late model, hoping that windlass' improvements carry over to that sword as well.
