Figured I'd share my recent project. I've always disliked whatever shape the original H/T longsword came with (smashed pear? Flat scent stopper?).. and I am a big fan of wheel pommels, so I set out to make my own. I designed in it CAD and 3d printed it to test fit, and then had it manufactured (not cheap). I had to take a bit of material off the end of the tang (less than 1/4") and overall it added about 20g to the weight of the sword. The PoB shifted slightly toward the handle (its about 4 1/8" now). But aesthetically, I think its a huge improvement.

quite an improvement. The original pommel is about the only negative I have about that sword. Otherwise it was really well done.
I'm thinking about a future fishtail pommel for mine.

Looks awesome! I'm a big fan of wheel pommels myself.

Wheel pommels are objectively the best pommels (science fact!). I've had to force myself to diversify my European sword purchases, because I tend to always gravitate towards those round bois.

Nice wheel pommel! I'm building a sword with a wheel pommel at the moment myself. I've never had one before and didn't realize how awesome they are until now.
