My latest project is an elven short blade etched with my interpretaion of middle earth and Saruman gazing into a Palantir. This blade image is based on an original drawing as to assure no infringmnet upon LOTR copyrights. I just finished the 11th and final etching layer. Here is a look at the hilt fixtures for the blade in rough form. The handle is purpleheart with brass inlays. The guard I ground from brass bar. The pommel nut is also brass with an inset zirconia.
