I've always wanted a Mk1 kukri and thought I would have Purna make me one seeing his style and watching his demonstration of it going through bone without any edge damage, while I was browsing his website I also saw the Mk2 and thought I should get that as well to see the two side by side. Here we have the completed pair with their scabbards.

As Nate has said, the one with the bolsters in it or as they would call it the full tang model, the Mk1 model is a stick tang and it goes through to the end of the wooden grip and is peened or some models has a recessed nut.

Couple of great reproduction but nevertheless genuine hand made Nepalese khukuris by Purna Darnal who is a master when it comes to making these quality knives . I have four or five of his khukuris each one made to my specifications and no complaints .
