I've been waiting for this and it was a great 1st episode, loved the unique look of the dragons and also super cool to learn peter johnsson designed and made the named swords of the series. Cant wait to see more and hopefully it ends better then the original series

Nice glad to hear you liked it, I was on the fence about watching it but I'll check out the first episode today myself.

I also liked the ear daggers a few of the characters had.

Great start so far. Good to have that GOT aesthetic and vibe back. I was quite satisfied with the arms & armor as well. Really liked the joust scene and variety of armor types. Maybe I'll watch it again and take some screenshots.

THIS, Storm, is the most egregious sin the choreographers ever committed. Most people couldn't pull off that thrust on a naked man let alone a man with a shirt, a gambeson, a maille shirt, AND a coat of plates with boiled leather.

I just wish that they would make a movie/series about real dragons instead of the fantasy ones. Real dragons aren't anything like the ones that Hollywood gives us; they don't actually fly for one, and the fire breathing is a lie. I know this because I read something on the internet about this guy who talked to some other dude who saw them when he was a sailor in some foreign country somewhere. So it has to be true.

Armor, by and large, is completely useless in Hollywood movies. Small daggers and pointed sticks can go right through heavy plate without so much as slowing down. And it's ALWAYS advisable to take off your helmet during the heat of battle when things are getting desperate because helmets work best when laying on the ground instead of taking up space on your head.

I had no idea that P.J. was involved. I really enjoyed the first episode. I really hope the rest of the season can hang with it.

The version I heard is that yes, they can fly, at least briefly, but the fairy tales and Hollywood got the part about where the fire comes from wrong. You don't want to be downwind of one using its intestinal JATO to take off.........

I greatly enjoyed the pilot and can't wait for more. While I really liked the big battles and oh S**t moments in GOT, I loved the political intrigue in the earlier seasons the most. Also, may just be me, but that birthing scene was probably one of the most brutal things I watched on TV.
Not terribly familiar with all the lore... I only read the first two books of ASOIAF but is Blackfyre Viserys sword, because that was the most badass looking sword I've seen in quite a while. I paused just to look at it more.
