Alas, like too many women in this benighted era: Too thin, and too blingy.

Sharp blades are good to have, if Shire-folk go walking, east, south, far away into dark and danger.

Looks like the Harry Potter Gryphindor sword Dude! You nailed it! You're good, but you know that! Did a little (very little) research and discovered "The sword of Gryffindor was made a thousand years ago by goblins, the magical world's most skilled metalworkers, and is therefore enchanted" so you know it's gotta be good! They also have a letter opener version... enchantment optional.

Looks like the Harry Potter Gryphindor sword One questions the HRC of "pure silver", even smithed by goblins.........one assumes that any decent elven-made LOTR sword would trash it with a single slash.

Goblins are the guys who hammer red giant suns down to neutron stars! Guess the can give silver a HRC of 43! I think that's a dwarf, not a goblin, at least in Avengers Infinity War. Goblins are orcs in the Tolkien universe...not sure about the Potter books. If it's made out of a neutron star, that'd be pretty dense! Supposedly a teaspoon of neutron star would weigh 4 billion tons! So you'd have to be pretty freaking "worthy" to wield a sword made of one. Not sure what the HRC on that would be, but I know the shipping charges would be outrageous! Even the letter opener (enchantment optional)!

I have no way of knowing whether this guy’s narrative is scientifically plausible, but it would certainly explain why there aren’t any goblins anymore.. sublimecuriosity.com/2014/06/08/a-piece-of-a-neutron-star/

It kinda has a Masonic Sword style to it. That's one thing I always questioned in the series is how powerful they make Goblins yet they are kinda dismal in there application being bankers and grounds keepers. You'd think the Goblins would try to take over or something let alone trust them with all the money lol.

As far as the OP, I think maybe "swords in possession" might simply mean swords the member currently owns but who knows maybe it is possessed lol!

That's the benefit of magic I guess, enchantments that make things stronger than they should be. If I remember right one of the enchantments was whatever the sword killed it gained its power or magical capability which is why it could kill the Basilisk and then carries over the Basilisk venom destructive capability so I guess it would be stronger than a Elvish blade especially if it killed an Elvish warrior.

Maybe lol, I still need to check out that series not too familiar with Stormbringer, isn't it an evil sword that takes the souls of those it kills kinda like the Muramasa legend?

The Elric series is great reading, as are all in the Eternal Champion series, but Elric got me interested first. I read Tolkien first (LONG time ago) which is very good vs evil, and was looking for more sword and sorcery stuff and found Michael Moorcock first. Talk about a different perspective! The ultimate anti-hero. Evil demonic sentient soul sucking sword with a mind of it's own killing friends and enemies alike. You kill a god? You become a god. Fun times for all!
