This didn't come to mind in relation to this thread until I was watching a random sword review recently. I'm not a fan of background music during speaking parts of a review. This is definitely a subjective thing, and I imagine I'm in the minority, but I think background music during times when the reviewer is speaking is just an unneeded distraction. Music at a very low decibel level doesn't help either. I've found myself inadvertently trying to hear the music only to realize that I missed the last 10 or 20 seconds of what the reviewer was saying.
I think music during cutting or showing pictures of the sword is totally cool. But if the reviewer is speaking, mute that stuff.

There's one YT'er that plays music so loud that, even with headphones, I have trouble understanding what he's saying over the music. He doesn't caption either... There's a thing. Add in captions. Seriously. I'm not hearing impaired but sometimes it's really nice to follow along with them, especially if someone is using a term or name of something I've not come across before.
