Looking to add a little flair to a saya and paint a mon onto it. Any effective way to do this besides being incredibly good at freehanding?

You could always try to make a stencil with an X-acto blade, or a Cricut printer. Got images of what you want to paint? It'd make it easier to recommend something.

I'd personally use a quality maki-e sticker. I've used them many times before and they're really very well made and look great on saya.
