I sure can't compete with most of these gorgeous collections here. But I do intend to ad on. This in my Shikoto Touchstone T 10 katana and completing the daisho is my Ryujin custom T 10 wakazashi. Shikoto makes a matching wakazashi for the touchstone but I didn't want to do that. I wasn't relly thinking of the color contrast giving the effect it does. Got the Black Widow thing going on. My APOC cutlass is at the to. I did a bunch of cord and leather work to the scabbard and handle on that. I threw in my 60# reflex/deflex flatbow and two of the arows I made for it just so I had more than three meager items. LOL.

Nice.
There’s nothing meager about your collection.
Thanks for sharing.

That's a lovely collection. How do you find the APOC cutlass?

Aha, the "Pile" method of storage and display, splendid. So underappreciated.

That's a lovely collection. How do you find the APOC cutlass? I bought the cutlass with the intent of having a bruiser basher chopper workhorse for camping exploring whatever outdoor thing may require a touch of mayhem with firewood bruch clearing ectc. Something I wouldn't be worried about staying pretty. I haven't been disappointed. It's a tank. Length right in between a kat and a wak, 9260 steel it's thick and heavy. But not to heavy to pack. I used the roughest stone I have to sharpen it. One I use on my tomahawks and axes. Oh and it pairs up to a plumb formidable item with a tomahawk. Should things ever come to that but even though that hasn't happened it's fun to practice with them. I love the thing. It's exactly what the doctor ordered. Thanks to all for your positive feedback. Oh and to neuronic...yeah that is a way underestimated form of display. It has...character. LOL

Well I went and dood it again. I knew if I dood it I gets a whippin". I dood it. HAHA. I was browsing around on one of the recommended vendor sites just farting around with no intention of buying anything and up pops a scratch and dent deal. In the katana section. $25.00 gets a mystery blade. Two or more and the price is $20.00 apiece. So i got two. Maybe I'll get really lucky who knows. If I wind up with stainless wall hangers that would suck but I decided to roll the dice. For the price WTH. But hopefully I land maybe a Shinwa or Musashi. Maybe a Sokojukara. New tsuka, tsuba do a little gussy up work to. I'll put up pics when they arrive. Yeah, so much for I'm not buying any swords this month. But that kind of deal was like dangling a juicy steak in front of a coyote. Come what may it's gonna get et'.

I got things consolidated a little better. I'm kinda scattered since a major surgery and my stuff is a bit disorganized. Anyway this is all of my cutters and choppers. The knives are a US Navy MK2 Ka Bar. 1945 manufacture. I found this in an old tuck bed toolbox that someone had tossed out in the desert. Before my son and I loaded it to haul it out (thanks for the knife to whoever tossed it in my desert for me to clean up) had to look inside and Jackpot! It was worth having to clean up some spodes laziness. In the shape it's in it's highly collectible and worth twixt 2-300 bucks. The scabbard is even clean with minimal wear. It's fully useable but I don't pack it to the scrub. The Bowie is one I made. Forged and ground out of a leaf spring from a 1950s Chevy Apache pickup that resides in a rancher buddies boneyard. It gets used some. She's a beast. Just shy of a quarter inch thick at the tang tapering down to the false edge clip point. The sheath was made for me by another buddy who's a fantastic leather guy. He's even worked on movies making knife and sword leather and other costume items like vests belts jerkins bracers and the like. I'm going to ditch the bolster and pins that are on it. They're stainless steel and I'm gonna go to brass. I'll probably figure out a cross guard for it as well though it works fine as is. I made it to team up with a tomahawk. Speaking of hawks that is made from a sheet rock ax. I've made quite a few that way. In hindsight I should maybe have used a broader faced piece like a roofing ax but I couldn't find one at the time I put it together. It still works great as a camping or just general field buddy. The butt is an old plumb bob. It's unique and quite handy for say breaking up hard ground for a fire pit or probing into things. And if I throw it it's going to stick on one end or the other. It's a pretty formidable tool/weapon. The katana is my Shikoto Touchstone T10. It's a solid piece and not bad at all for $350.00 delivered to my door. All iron fittings, (tsuba kishirae seppa) and real ray skin same' which is "tea dyed" giving it a soft warm tint. It's solid and feels great in the hand. The wakazishi is a Ryujin custom also T 10 real iron throughout and real ray skin same' as well. I went with the red and black color contrast and different makes to complete the daisho intentionally. It has that as I stated in my OP Black Widow look. I wanted to be different. I like to think I'm outfitted like a ronin may have been. Grabbing what he could lay his hands on and sinking spur. Last but not least my APOC 9260 Survival cutlass.. It also teams very well as a weapon with my tomahawk. Either one in either hand works great. It's a workhorse outfit and was intended to supplement my tool load out for time afield. As of this moment this is everything. I have two blades coming I bought as a mystery box. Estimated delivery of Friday this week. $20.00 a piece for two. I figured what the hell. Sometimes a guy gets lucky on scratch and dent sales. I'm not hanging out my hopes I'll get a Hanwei practical plus or any other fairly high quality blade but for the buy in price I'll roll the dice. Whatever I get will probably be over 40 bucks worth. A guy can always use thrasher or project blades. I wouldn't mind getting a reasonable carbon steel blade with el cheapo fittings I can make replacements for. Tsuka, tsuba kashirae seppa. So that's my full edged weapon/tool collection till Friday. I'll stick up pics of whatever I get. I'm curious, and hopeful.
