I wasn't sure where to ask you so I'll come here. What do you think of the Katzbalger I want one but I can't decide which one I should get. Kingston Arms' looks like the most solid candidate from major makers, though Del Tin's is more to my taste. Plenty of European outfits with their own offerings, so a tough decision. My budget is shot from the latest kris, though...

I had a feeling they would be your style

I like the ~24 inch blades everyone else offers, but the Kingston looks to have the best overall finish and the benefit of 1) being sharp 2) including a scabbard. It's also less expensive...

On my visit of the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nürnberg I've seen a full lenght single handed arming sword with a Katzbalger hilt.

I'm honestly torn on which way I'd go. Anyway, if this thread isn't going to be about kris/kalis anymore, perhaps we should let it die as it is and start a new thread about katzbalger. I'm kind of disappointed how little interest has been shown in the original swords, but I guess they're pretty niche and this forum leans more modern-made anyway...

I wish I knew more about them to be honest. Might be a long time till I get a new sword too. But I want to own one someday. Best I can do is comparing a similar sword I might have haha But yea, this forum is mostly dead, sadly. I'm sure there is a lot of fans of those styles, but they're prolly on Facebook or somewhere. Maybe YouTube comments, which is a terrible spot to try converse with people

They may be a fairly niche subject, but I would bet there are a few people who are interested to see what you have made. Even if I don't know much about Kris & Kalis, I have one of Purna's shamshir, so I am always interested in seeing the wonders he creates.
(I think I was actually replying to a comment in a different thread, but people should post more Kris & Kalis since cool blades are always good to see)

If I had the money, though, I have a couple of things I might like to see Purna's interpretation. Anybody who knows me probably knows what they are.
