Paypal has reached back to me and told me the 2 exact transactions that got my acc deleted and both times the note indicates that they were swords, if u continue to use paypal in the future never put specifically what you are buying or selling in the notes

Safest to not even put anything in the notes at all. I sold a Ryujin katana on here awhile ago, and that person put something like "SBG Ryujin" in the notes. Paypal held onto the money for days on end, refusing to do anything about, and eventually asked the buyer for more information. Specifically, what Ryujin's birthdate was. We gave them my birthdate and that eventually got everything working, but it was a PITA.

If the two sides of a transaction want to make sure the payment can be specifically identified, a code word (something non-sword related) can be decided in their communication and used as the item description. Probably more than most people need, but an option.

Also if you are that paranoid with buying from someone through paypal use the goods & services option then and you are covered.

Paypal has reached back to me and told me the 2 exact transactions that got my acc deleted and both times the note indicates that they were swords, if u continue to use paypal in the future never put specifically what you are buying or selling in the notes I have always referred to the swords by "manufacturer name and model" without mentioning the word "sword"; "Albion Yeoman" or "custom Type XII" with any needed descriptive detail such as "and scabbard" or with "custom red leather grip". I seem to have been able to dodge their logarithms so far like that. I have used a mix of Goods and services and Friends and Family transactions. Maybe I have ben just lucky... FWIW, I only will accept Zelle, a Federal funds wire or "cash in person" for any sales. Someone wanted to buy the Bugei Bamboo i have had listed forever in the classifieds and when I indicated PayPal was not my preferred method, i never heard back. No matter... I like the sword anyway.
