I should preface by saying that this isnt a complaint of the swords capabilities but rather how it arrived. I received (05/20) my A. Trim/Valiant Ansbach Type XVI which is a stunningly beautiful sword however it arrived with a lot of rust pitting in the blade. I have never had this happen on a high end sword before and will be returning it to AOC for a refund since replacements are at least 12 months away. That being said, this is easily one of the most beautiful swords Ive purchased. It feels amazing in the hand and is exceptionally well balanced. Sadly, for the price I refuse to accept a pitted blade.

I'm curious how this turned out. I'll take a pitted Ansbach! Any update?!

As a maker/seller this is a real issue to deal with, more often so in winter time because the blade can fog up inside the packaging and rust before it gets to where its going if the temperature changes are too wild. Sad.

I was having a hard time deciding between the Ansbach and the Strasbourg. I wish I could handle both in person to make a better decision. Mostly leaning toward the Strasbourg though.
