Northman a new movie not to be confused with the series Norsemen or the Lee Majors Norseman from 1978. Trailers look good and it's getting some great reviews. Plus I swear Nicole Kidman gets better looking with every year. And look at the title of this " To Valholl " not Valhalla. Let's keep our fingers crossed on this one.

I saw the film last weekend. It's a visual masterpiece of a film. The design is spectacular, the performances are very good, and it's a helluva ride.
Sadly, looks like this film is going to be a box office bomb. I think studios ought to spend 70 million on films like this, but unfortunately, the film goer won't see films unless they are part of a franchise. I hope word of mouth makes this film an instant cult classic.
Go see it!

Lebleuchevalier unfortunately most people today have gotten use to the garbage Hollywood is force feeding them that they probably won't appreciate a good movie anymore. No wild special effects and CGI or big name actors to over shadow the bad script and acting. I'm afraid good movies are doomed to fail.

It is a fantastic film, the director also keeps everything center screen so your eyes don't get tired having to look all around. Think the opposite of transformers

Think the opposite of transformers It's a sad day for film when we film goers have to praise the photography as being merely coherent. What a luxury! I was able to see what was happening on the screen.
I think Eggers just prefers this single camera style of photography, thank goodness.

A good movie has lots of CGI and shaky-cam with non-stop action and explosions. "Plot", heh. "Character arc", heh. A movie goer craves not these things.

CGI is good when it's used to enhance a good movie like Lord of the Rings for example. But not when it is the movie.

I plan on seeing it, will probably wait until it hits digital though and either stream it or buy it. Last decent historical sword film we got was Last Duel which I liked, Green Knight was a bore, I fell asleep, lol!

Maybe, I just never been a theater goer but I'll check the local listings and see might go for this one.

This movie moves a hell of a lot faster than Green Knight. It’s a simple story with dialogue that feels like poetry and a ton of mysticism between the scenes of violence. I loved it. It’s a good one to see on the big screen.

I should probably see it in the movie theatre but I'm ok just watching it at home on a 4k tv. Not monstrous as in taller than me but it's nice to be able to just sit at home, make some popcorn and pause it if I need to hit the loo at some point.

I absolutely loved it. The camera work was awesome, moving in mostly straight lines like Runes are written.
