Nice sword!!! I've been kicking around buying one of those for a while now... god it's massive unless you're like 5 or something. I had no idea how big it was.

Well, I am small (162cm) and I have really small hands. Grip is 10cm (4") long and you see how much space is still left here in the picture. Sword is overall 98cm, 84 blade plus 14 hilt. I didn't weighted it but it could be about 1.45kg Del Tin says it is. I would love to see full version with 4cm longer blade.

162 cm is...5 ft 4-ish? It's a really nice sword. If I bought a Del Tin, I'd have to go with the 2121 or the 2123. I can never get into those Brazil nut pommels. They look sweet, but they feel terrible to me no matter how I grip it. Do you know how much distal taper it has? I hear the DT doesnt taper them much, and it makes them a bit heavier than they should be. I'd like to hear otherwise.

Yes, it's about 5'4". I know 2123 has little taper, 5mm to 4mm, it's what is written in myarmoury's review. I will try to measure my sword and then post it here. I think I can see some taper but I have to measure it. Maurice is about 120gr (4oz?) heavier then the original and is 7cm (a bit less then 3") shorter so it is a bit heavier then it should be. Del Tin swords are a compromise between reenactment use and sharpening them and cutting with them use so they are a bit overbuilt (some more then others) but I think this one is a very good example of a powerful weapon of war for a 12th or 13th century mounted knight. 2121 and 2123 are lighter, one could say better balanced swords then 2130 but I liked the look of this one (I like brazil nut pommels and have no problems with gripping them) and I like swords with considerable blade presence. But I also liked very much lighter 2121 and 2123 and their fell and handling and I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed with them. Especially with 2123. If you order directly from Del Tin you could ask for a 2130 with a pommel of 2121 or some other that you like. But it would of course change a balance and maybe a bigger pommel of a hand and a half sword would be a better choice. Maybe 5143 pommel.

Thanks a lot for the info, Luka. +1 for a thorough answer, I enjoyed it. I have trouble with those brazil nut pommels because I am kind of huge (6'4"-6'5") and I have big hands. I do like the way they look, though. If I wanted a quality sword relegated to display, I'd probably get this sword.
