Sharp blades are good to have, if Shire-folk go walking, east, south, far away into dark and danger.

for some unknown reason (at least unknown to me) KoA won't ship sword canes to WI. We have statewide knife preemption and carrying an automatic knife is fine statewide. Wisconsin, huh? Maybe too many old people using canes that want to cut the cheese?

Thanks for the review. I normally like Windlass knives but the last one was a disappointment. That one sounds bad and then I got to thinking. I know nothing of bronze blades other than being not as strong as steel. So understandably those blades reflect the issue. And while a sharp edge on a dagger would allow for easier penetration and a dagger is designed for thrusting and not cutting trying to judge a bronze dagger by steel dagger standards may not be fair. But as I said I know nothing about bronze weapons. Very true, and I'm not an ancient weapons expert, either. Maybe I ruined it by sharpening it, but it was SOOOO dull, it was useless. And the flat black coating... you couldn't even tell it was bronze underneath. The fade from bronze to black was what made me look twice to begin with. If it was $80 cheaper and had a thicker bone handle, it might be worth it. But I was looking at getting the Philippe IV or Castillon anyway and they're only $40 more than this 7" dagger. Just WAY overpriced for what you get.

Here's a thought. I bet you could make a cool spear outta that. That's what I was considering when I saw it. Functional, maybe...pretty? Definitely.
you could probably get a well made spear head that was actually built to be a spear head for less than $140 though

Well shoot. Thanks for taking one for the team. Saved me $140. ☹️ I've gotten enough great advice, suggestions and used swords from this group I figured it was my turn. I've had kind of a run of bad luck lately anyway with a couple of my new acquisitions. Someone is trying to tell me to slow down ...
