Hello all! Anyone recognize this sword? Got it a bunch of years back and rashly had it on my sailboat for a season (which it didn't like) Seems to have a real steel blade, very straight, with a lot of spring, the tang extends through the handle Grips are hard plastic and bolted on (lost one bolt..oops so i fabricated another hastily) Unsharpened but very pointy, looks to perhaps have been chromed and or highly polished Can put up pictures dissembled Very sturdy and practical looking no frills sword Blade is 31" As it lacked any ornamentation or marks I assumed it was some sort of knockoff cadets sword and stupidly treated it accordingly. I can also put up some disassembled pictures if it helps

I can imagine this plain sword is not firing anyone's imagination. Disassembly would seem to indicate it's probably some sort of repro, or cadet sword. Distant memory had me remembering the tang as more skookum and the grips as plastic. The grips are actually painted wood and the tang looks a little dubious.

Looks similar to a Spanish 1907(the grip not the blade)

I can’t help with ID, but the tang looks okay to me.

It does look alot like the Spanish 1907, though quick research doesn't show one with a double fullered blade. And the guard is smaller than most I've seen. It's a nice feeling sword, one could almost fence with it, and it has a pleasingly business like look to it as well. It was in great shape comparatively when I got it for $40 or something. I feel pretty dim to have left it on a sailboat unprotected from the marine climate.
