I understand that the idea behind it, but my circadian rhythm doesn't seem to care. It just gets more painful to adjust as I get older.

I have insomnia from thyroid issues right now and it still absolutely sucks. I despise DST.

They should just leave it at an hour forward, but in any case at least LEAVE IT. Why have it get dark at 4:30 in the afternoon instead of 5:30, because EVERYONE is up at that time, and we are no longer mainly agrarian farmers who don't have electricity.

They will stop the damn time changing (hurray) Nov. 2023, after two more insufferable changes (a Fall back & Spring forward). Indeed, daylight savings shall be permanent (will get dark an hour later...when EVERYONE is still up) while standard time will be abolished. I'm a night owl, so an extra hour of light is a complete win.

For some reason, I thought the US was the only country participating in this time-change foolishness.

This was tried in 1974 and was a total failure. In the Winter the sun wasn't coming up until around 9am this was an issue for schools and likely others.
