In case anyone wasn't aware Netflix yesterday released Vikings Valhalla, a sort of sequel to the history channal's Vikings. It is set in 11th century this time. It's not historically accurate as far as items/clothing/armor but if you go in watching it without worrying about those sort of things, I think it is pretty good.

I'll give it an attempt but I can't say I'm happy about what they did to Haakon.
While completely historically inaccurate the original Viking series was entertaining at least up to the point where Ragnar was killed. I tried to watch it after but lost interest.

I think this is a lot better than the original Vikings, because it's set in the 11th century, it is interesting to see vikings who are christian as well as pagan, where as the original Vikings tv series it was more pagan with a sprinkle of christianity.

I watched for a few seasons after Ragnar died, but the show went downhill, it's like they stopped putting whatever minimal effort they put into keeping it "historical". It was great when Ragnar was around but the characters didn't compel me very much. I didn't mind when Bjorn was in the woods though, I kinda wish they explored that a lot more

Will there be a crossover with Braveheart?

Will there be a crossover with Braveheart? I can imagine Ragnar and William getting in a pointless but non lethal battle over a misunderstanding and eventually finding a common goal to take out some English duke of no historical significance, then parting on their merry ways 😂 sounds about how they write the newer episodes

it's alright. definitely not as good as S1 of Vikings was besides 2 or 3. Better than the last couple of seasons of Vikings.
Fun, I'm not sure I'll ever rewatch it but I'll watch S2 and likely 3 when it drops.
it's about as historically accurate as Vikings which means it's not very accurate at all.

I would say original vikings was better throughout as the characters in the new one don't interest me as much but still a good watch if u enjoyed the original
