Dumb question.... Shouldn't the runes be in Elvish, not Dwarvish? Beautiful work!
So...how's it feel in the hand?

Most eye appealing. Beautiful work, and congratulations of finishing. Now my question is, when do you take it out for a test run? 😊

The language is Sindarin, but the writing system is Cirth, and it was indeed favored by Dwarves. I chose it because many of the legendary swords were made by Dwarves or by Elves in cooperation with Dwarves. It was also easier to print the vinyl transfers.

Absolutely Amazing ! 🤯👍 (Did something happened to the labradorite ?) The labradorite is still good. I just changed my mind about which type of stone I wanted. This is a Swarovski crystal.

I like to think of myself as a Tolkien nerd, but, you Sir...are far past my level of nerd-dom. Oh Guru....I brought a goat...is it enough?

I just learned that it is now CONFIRMED that the image below is Elendil holding Narsil. The Amazon series, for legal reasons, cannot bear any similarity to the LOTR films made by New Line. So there it is. That's Narsil. I don't see the runes, but I assume they are featured somewhere. I like the design quite a bit!
I don't think this is Narsil based on what we saw in the latest episode.
The one they showed is the spitting image of the Sword of Isildur from the prologue of FOTR.

You're right. THIS is Narsil. John Howe repurposed his design from the Jackson films.

Beautiful work! For the cirth did you use the one used in the original trilogy or another?
That's nice that they decided on a similar design. Also there were some other easter eggs in that room that I missed first time. Tuor's axe Dramborleg, his shield and possibly the Dragon Helm of Dor-lomin which was cool to see. Pharazon's sword also looked pretty neat as well.

Very nice design. It turned out incredible. I am interested in how you tackled attaching the bezel tray that holds the cabochon to the pommel. Is there a mechanical connection between the tray and the pommel, under the stone or is it simply epoxy?

Is there a mechanical connection between the tray and the pommel, under the stone or is it simply epoxy? Shawn Gildofthegildedhilt.com I secured the bezel cup to the pommel with e6000 adhesive. If this sword was not just for display, I would secure the bezel cup in place with the adhesive, then make it more permanent with jewelry solder, and then set the cabochon into the cup.
