Hi folks, wasn't sure where to ask this, so posting here. Insight/Personal experiences welcomed.
Without getting into the political/historical discussion (per 'the rules') - I'm having difficulty tracking down information on this. I've actually spent time in Armagh/Down. Ironically it seemed easier to get myself there, than to figure out how to ship a package there. Support chats with my label vendor, shipping carrier FAQ's, searches, asking the customer, etc.
My label system only recognizes the City, postal code, and 'UK' for the country. My understanding is that USPS prefers 'Northern Ireland'. It has to go through my label system digitally, so I can't handwrite anything on the label itself.
Seeking clarity on whether the postal code will be sufficient for correct delivery? Maybe just add the local format in sharpie on the box?

Ah, never mind, figured it out. For anyone else wondering about this, info I received in a FB convo:
"NI is a political Border and UK is the geographical border. Royal Mail delivers. I just received an answer for my friend in NI. "That's correct. They don't use county or region really. Like mine would be # XXXXXXXXX Carrickfergus Bt387qh UK" "It's all computer read, the post code sends the package to the local delivery office and they really just need the house number to know what letter box to put it in" ------------------------------- To sum up: Shipping to NI:
Street address, city, postal code, UK Don't need 'Northern Ireland' or the County. At least for pre-printed labels.
