Thanks for that info and forum welcome, the photos are on the thread here now, but not sure if it is a fantasy piece or not? maybe it would be suited to another section on the forum?

Thanks a lot for the input to the thread, unfortunately i have not bought this sword yet, I am meeting the seller tomorrow, and these are the only photos provided at the moment. If you have any ideas or suggestions on where it might be from or how old then please lets know

It looks to me like some sort of vintage wallhanger, maybe inspired by Braveheart. If they want more than $20, save your money for something much better.

Thanks for this, I appreciate it, I thought it might have been old, but now upon reading this opinion I have my doubts, they are asking 50 Euro and I need to drive for 40 minutes to collect it, so based on everything I might pass on this sword although I am curious to get a good inhand inspection of it, just in case it is a rare or valuable one.
